Georgios N. Bakalis is a graduate in Electrical Engineering from the City University of New York, with a Masters in Telecommunications from the same University. He holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Piraeus.
He was a regular Member of the Independent Authority for Ensuring the Privacy of Communications - ADAE (03.2016 – 09.2023), as well as Director of Telecommunications at the same Independent Authority (05.2007 – 03.2016).

He has been a Member of the Special Scientific Committee for Telematics and Telecommunications of the Technical Chamber of Greece - T.E.E. (1990 – 1999).
