The Hellenic Authority for Communication Security and Privacy (ADAE) participated as an Associated Partner in the NEWPost Project “Upgrading the EU Postal Sector with new Skills”, which aims to provide a new approach to the skills necessary for the Postal Sector. The Project started in 2018 and finishes on July 31, 2021.
The Authority was represented by Dimitrios Vergados, Member of the Board of the Hellenic Authority for Communication Security and Privacy and Professor at the Department of Informatics at the University of Piraeus in Greece who conducted a presentation at the 2nd European Postal Sector Conference that took place on July 13 2021 and was hosted by PostEurop, in Brussels. Furthermore, at the Conference Eleni Varvaroussi from the Division for the Assurance of Privacy of Mail Services of the Hellenic Authority for Communication Security (ADAE) gave a presentation on the topic “The assurance of confidentiality in the Postal Sector”.
Among the aims of the Project was the development of a modern JOINT VET Curricula for the Postal Sector by adjusting skills and qualifications of sector workforce, WBL Scheme design and first Certification conducted for Postal Employees, meeting the demand for new skills within the sector. The Joint VET Curricula includes a core module on confidentiality and security of the Postal Sector.
